O scale platform scale (qty 2)
From the Pickle Works kit. The kit has parts to make 2 sets of scales.
Paul Fisher, who requested the Pickle Works kit, kept going on and on about having some scales so I had to create a kit to keep him happy. After research, I came up with a passable representation of industrial platform scales made c1910 by W&T AVERY, Birmingham, England. The world's largest supplier of platform scales at the time. These turned up all over the world, so they are handy things for any railroad industry.
Weighing platform area is a scale 2ft x 2ft (so works well with the fruit and veg crates)
Sized to suit 1/48 (1/48 figure shown is not included) but could be used for 1/43.
Made from laser-ply and micro ply. With just a light sanding the grain disappears once painted (as you can see from the pics).
Clever engraving creates 3D detail on otherwise flat sheets.
wire also included for hanging weights.
Although the parts are small, some very tiny, assembly is straight forward and most parts slot-together.
The weights stack together, and are slotted so they can be fitted to the scales if you are showing an item being weighed.
