On30 engine shed doors with working hinges
and with windows
They simply work !
This set of doors has been designed for our On30 Backwoods roundhouse kit, but can also be used for the 2 road engine shed.
They are the same size as our solid engine shed doors (KHB006)
Features:
* each door has 2 working hinges.
* reverse side is fully detailed so they look good open or closed.
* windows have glazing bars both sides too (naturally!)
* hinge pin wire is long enough to use as an alignment jig.
* hinge component panels include spares.
* wood framing has grain going the right way.
* kit includes door posts with slots to set hinges in the right place, and a lintel.
* Peel and stick assembly where appropriate.
Laser cut from micro-ply, basswood, obechi and stencil card.
Simple effective design. Easy to assemble.
Full instructions included. (but you really won't need them!)
Doors have been designed to fit an appeture 70mm wide x 94mm high (2.75" x 3.68"). Suitable for On30 loco dimensions.

This roundhouse fits perfectly for my small On30 engine service area, matched to the Kitwood Hills 9" turntable. The kit was very well thought out, instructions were easy to read and understand and most of all, the kit went together very well. Absolutely one of the best structure kits on the market. My hats off to Simon for his ingenuity. Not bad for a guy in a shed.
